Rosemount 485 Annubar Flowmeters

The shape of the APT is fundamental to flow measurement performance. The inventors of APT technology offer the most innovative T-shaped and rugged bi-directional shaped Annubar sensors. These patented primary elements are designed to be resistant to wear, warp and plugging while achieving the highest accuracy and reliability.

Lower Energy Costs

Annubar sensors create less blockage in the pipe, leading to a reduction in pumping, compression and fuel costs.

Reduce Process Variability
LOW SIGNAL NOISE
Stagnation zones on the backside of the T-shaped Annubar sensor are positioned to reduce noise and measurement inaccuracies that lead to process variations.

Enhance Measurement at Lower Flows
HIGHER SIGNAL STRENGTH
The flat upstream surface of the T-shaped Annubar sensor result in a fixed separation point that improves performance over a wider flow range.

Save Installation Time and Cost
INTEGRAL THERMOWELL DESIGN
Add a temperature measurement without additional pipe penetrations or installation time and expense.  The thermowell integral to the 485 Annubar sensor allows maintenance and removal of the RTD without process shutdown. 

Decrease Measurement Error
+/- 0.75% of Flow Accuracy
The frontal slot design of the sensor measures 70% more of the velocity profile, allowing increased sampling that increases the accuracy of the measurement.

Applications:


Pak-Lok assembly

This popular, easy-to-use mechanism utilizes the latest patented compression design to firmly secure the Annubar sensor to the opposite wall of the pipe. This assembly can be used with the 485.




Flanged assembly

The rugged structural requirements of high-pressure applications are met with the flanged assembly. This assembly can be used with the 485 and 585.


Flange-Lok assembly

Combines the Pak-Lok compression sealing mechanism with a mounting flange for convenient installation with a sing pipe penetration. This assembly can be used with the 485.




Flo-Tap assembly

The Flo-Tap Annubar assembly can be hot-tapped without interrupting process flow. There is no need to shut down your process to install a flowmeter. This assembly can be used with the 485 and 585.


Compact assembly

Combines the Annubar sensor with 405 Compact wafer for simple installation between raised-face flanges.
